Darjeeling Tea: From Hill Gardens to Your Cup
A thoughtful tea experience shaped by elevation, careful selection and gentle brewing.
Darjeeling tea is appreciated for its fragrance, clarity and layered character. It rewards a slower approach: fresh water, measured leaf and enough time to notice how the aroma develops.
A tea with a sense of place
The cool hill environment and careful handling of the leaf help create a cup that feels lighter and more aromatic than a conventional strong black tea. Each brew can reveal floral, fruity or softly brisk notes.
Brew it gently
Use water just off the boil and allow the tea to steep for around three minutes. Taste before extending the brew. Darjeeling is often enjoyed without milk so its finer character remains clear, although your own ritual always comes first.
Make time for the cup
- Measure the tea instead of guessing.
- Avoid over-boiling the water repeatedly.
- Serve soon after brewing.
- Store the pack sealed, cool and away from strong aromas.
